One thing I love about the internet is the creativity of individuals. Some have gone as far as to dedicate entire domain names to questions. As a simple example, if you really want to know if it is Christmas today, rather than consulting your calendar, or maybe looking outside at your neighbours trees and lights, you can visit…
Strangely enough, as of writing this post on the 13th of June, this single-serving website says “NO”.
Good to know. Given the simplicity and internet-of-old nature of these websites, what else is out there that’s still alive today? Some of these are so dusty that they have not been updated to use HTTPS!
Lets see if we can build an up-to-date collection:
IsItDarkOutside.com – Perfect if you’re not able to get to a window.
AmIAwesome.com – Good to know, and to show and send to other people to make sure they know.
IsItFridayYet.net – Everybody loves Friday, are we there yet?
IsItTuesday.co.uk – In case you got a no to the above.
IsItThursday.org – In case you still get a no.
IsItMonday.today – In case you’re really running out of options.
IsItHalloween.com – In case calendars aren’t your thing.
IsItRainingNow.com – In case you’re not aware of the weather.
IsCaliforniaOnFire.com – In case you’re glad you’re not in California when it’s hot.
IsMyComputerOnFire.com – A great way to check everything is running ok, for normies and IT Pros alike.
IsItDNS.com – For IT Pros specifically, when there’s practically any issue happening in the workplace. The answer probably won’t shock you.
ShouldIBlameCach.ing – For IT Pros, In case it might not be DNS, though results here may be inaccurate.
HasTheLargeHadronColliderDestroyedTheWorldYet.com – A great way to check if we’ve survived around 18 years since this thing started.
IsItTimeForANap.com – Feeling tired? Have thoughts of going to sleep? Check if it’s time.
Do you have any to add to the list?
