Now for a non-tech observation, It’s not often I go to McDonalds, but when I heard that the Big Tasty was out (again), I had to go and get one.

I went. I ordered. I opened the box.

Boy was I sorely disappointed, to the point where my first impression was:

“Did they give me the wrong burger?”

I understand times are tough, prices everywhere are up, but this isn’t your classic cheapo cheeseburger or the iconic big mac, with this burger costing north of £10, you’re expecting something special…

The “I’m starving” burger
The Supersize Me is back burger
The “whoa this is a big burger” burger

So has the Big Tasty actually been nerfed?

For me the answer feels like yes, and I don’t seem to be the only one who has discovered this, [this news article], [this thread] and [this thread] on Reddit also has noticed the difference, with people now calling the burger…

The not-so-big tasty

The UnBig Tasty

One redditor even went as far as to say that “Burger King deserves it’s crown back“, and several saying “It’s a travesty“.

Dramatic? Maybe. Accurate? Also maybe.

At this point, I can no longer recommend the Big Tasty, the size of the burger was the unique selling point, it’s almost like they put the burger into Paint and dragged the resize pointer down and said “yeah, that’ll do, it’s like a big mac, but… tasty”. I guess next time I’ll just get a Big Mac.

Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I’m still hungry.
